Look at the clothes. More than likely some of the people in this pic are still alive. they’re your grandparents, parents, cousins, uncles, & aunts. And they’re smiling at the death of a black man. They’re proud of this murder. That’s the history of whiteness in America. Our deaths were a reason to celebrate.

yup. the photos were souvenirs. and you have the nerve to say your culture isnt based on sociopathy.

i think about that when i see old white people. especially the ones from the south. i wonder what must be going through their minds when they see me, knowing that within their lifetime not only was i allowed to be in the same space as them but they could have raped me, killed me, done whatever that want to me with absolutely no repercussion.
but what’s changed about that, really?

these pictures disturb the fuck out of me. i don’t even… to be smiling, enjoying yourself. i just still can’t wrap my head around it, even with what i’ve learned. when i was depressed, i would avoid images like this and movies about these issues like the plague. now, not so much. but even so, as asked above, how much has changed?
what has changed is that instead of using a noose, cops are given a gun and a badge and lynching is now legal. or you mix some chemicals and call it the death penalty. which is legal. or you let young boys who want to drag Black people to death in a car get less sentencing and time in jail than the Black men being lynched by death penalty for crimes less severe than the murdering of someone based off hate. and i was going to say that we have moved away from allowing vigilantism and group mob riot mentalities, but we have george zimmerman on the lose right now, for the murder of a boy by his own hands, which apparently is legal when one is “standing their ground” aka racist white person afraid of blacks. aside from that, it seems nothing has changed.
i also find it interesting the tone of these people in the picture, they are likely european immigrants, if i want to judge by color, though i could be wrong. so all those talking about, my ancestors didn’t own slaves, that really doesn’t even matter.

I Can’t right now. And They’re smiling. Clearly claiming “self-defense” is the new lynching. I’m Out.

Hmph. Native Americans. That’s all I’m going to say. America was rightfully theres and the Europeans came and did what they did.

1890s Blacks were tortured in German concentration camps in Southwest Africa (now called Namibia) when Adolph Hitler was only a child. Colonial German doctors conducted unspeakable medical experiments on these emaciated helpless Africans decades before such atrocities were ever visited upon the Jews.
Thousands of Africans were massacred. Regrettably, historians neglected to properly register the slaughter—that is, to lift it from the footnote in history that it had been relegated to—until now.
In an attempt to give the incidents their rightful recognition in the historical context of the Holocaust, Dr. Firpo W. Carr has authored a new book entitled, Germany’s Black Holocaust: 1890–1945. In it, he reveals the startling hidden history of Black victims of the Holocaust. The mayhem and carnage date back to the turn of the 20th century, many years before there were ever any other unfortunate victims—Jew or Gentile—of the Holocaust.
Carr conducted three incredibly revealing interviews with: (1) a Black female Holocaust victim; (2) the Black commanding officer who liberated 8,000 Black men from a concentration camp; and (3) an African American medic from the all-Black medical unit that was responsible for retrieving thousands of dead bodies from Dachau. (White medical units were spared the gruesome task.)
“Kay,” the Black female Holocaust survivor, laments: “You cannot possibly comprehend the anger I have in me because of being experimented on in Dachau, and being called ‘nigger girl’ and ‘blacky’ while growing up.”
Testimonials from the Black commanding officer and African American medic are memorialized, for the first time ever, in Carr’s book. The research is based on voluminous documentation, and more.

This reminds me that there were black anarchists in Spain during the revolutionary war because they saw the rise of Fascism linked with the KKK and Jim Crow terrorism in the US. How many untold stories are there?
